Most devotional art shows a scene; this collection shows a face. The portrait studies come in close on Krishna alone: the half-smile, a single eye in fine detail, a head wreathed in lotus flowers, a baby Krishna study, and the strange and rather beautiful Krishna in the Metro, which puts him among commuters on an underground train.
These designs are quieter than the pastime paintings and tend to suit people who want something less obviously religious to wear or hang. The collection includes t-shirts and hoodies for adults and children, tote bags, journals, framed posters, insulated bottles and oversized hoodies. Related: Krishna with the cows.
