Krishna is Gopala, the protector of cows, and Govinda, the one who gives pleasure to them. In Vrindavan he spent his days in the pastures with his calves, his flute and his cowherd friends, and the Bhagavatam returns to these scenes again and again: Krishna with a calf in his arms, Krishna among the cows at sunset, Krishna in the grass, Krishna on a bed of lotuses, Krishna sitting with mother Yashoda while the herd grazes nearby.
These are the gentlest paintings in the shop, and the most popular. The collection brings together every product carrying one of them — soft cotton t-shirts and hoodies for adults and children, girlie hoodies, canvas wall art and framed posters, wall tapestries, japa bags, tote bags, jigsaw puzzles, insulated bottles, journals, stickers and pin badges.
