Shiva is the greatest of Vaishnavas, says the Bhagavatam, and Ganesha is the remover of obstacles invoked before any undertaking. They belong to the wider Vedic world rather than to Gaudiya Vaishnavism specifically, and they appear in a looser, more folk-art register than the Krishna pieces — Shiva dancing the tandava, Shiva seated in meditation on the mountain, and Ganesha mid-dance with his belly and his broken tusk.
