The flute is Krishna’s one possession and his most effective instrument. When he plays it the cows stop grazing, the river slows, and the gopis leave their houses in the middle of whatever they were doing. In the theology the flute-song is the call that reaches every living being eventually; in the pictures it is simply a boy under a tree, playing.
This collection covers the flute paintings across the shop: t-shirts and hoodies, insulated and peristyle bottles, soft dolls, Christmas ornaments, vinyl stickers and japa-bag designs. Related: the gopis’ dance and Krishna with the cows.
