Between one creation and the next, Mahavishnu lies on the serpent Ananta Shesha in the causal ocean, and universes come and go from his breathing. It is one of the most cosmic images in the Vedic literature, and one of the calmest: the source of everything, asleep.
It appears as classical Vaishnava art and also as something stranger — the God Is a DJ series, where Lord Vishnu stands at a DJ set with the universes spinning, a joke and a piece of theology at the same time. The collection brings together the Ananta Shesha paintings, the yoga nidra scenes, baby Krishna resting on the serpent, and the whole DJ series, across t-shirts and all-over print tees, hoodies and zip-ups, canvas wall art and framed posters, wall tapestries, japa bags, backpacks, laptop sleeves, phone cases, puzzles, bottles, journals, stickers and pin badges.
