Lord Jagannath stands in his temple in Puri with his brother Baladev and his sister Subhadra, carved in wood with enormous round eyes and no hands. He is the Lord of the Universe, and he is also the most immediately recognisable form in the whole tradition — which is exactly why he works so well on things people wear.

This is the Lord Jagannath artwork on a japa bead bag. Choose small, about 23 cm, for a standard tulasi mala, or medium, about 27 cm, for neem beads or a mala with a large head bead. Each bag is sewn from printed cotton with a separate finger pocket, a neck strap and a drawstring closure, stitched in small batches and shipped from our own stock. Hand wash cool and air-dry.
