When Indra sent the clouds of devastation to drown Vrindavan, seven-year-old Krishna lifted Govardhan Hill on the little finger of his left hand and held it over the villagers and their cows for seven days. The Bhagavatam says he held it as a child holds a mushroom.
This is the Govardhana Lila artwork on a japa bead bag. The bag is sewn from printed cotton with a separate finger pocket, a neck strap and a drawstring closure, in the small size, about 23 cm, which fits a standard tulasi mala comfortably. Unlike our print-on-demand items, japa bags are stitched in small batches and ship from our own stock. Hand wash cool and air-dry, keeping the beads out of the water.
